Kuwait, March 12 (BNA) A limited fire broke out at Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) today morning and was easily extinguished by the employees without leaving human losses or having a negative impact on production, a KPC official said.

Manama, Feb. 25 (BNA) His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa issued decision No. 13 for the year 2010 entry into force of provisions of Act No. 13 of 1975 on the organization of pension and gratuities for government employees to the staff of the Public Authority for Social Insurance.

TALIBAN CLAIMS RESPONSIBILITY OF KILLING CIA EMPLOYEES

THIS WAS AFFIRMED BY TALIBAN SPOKESMAN DHABIH ALLAH MUJAHID TO FRANCE PRESS WHO SAID THAT A SUICIDE BOMBER CALLED SAMIYULLAH CARRIED OUT THE SUICIDE ATTACK WHEN HE DETONATED HIS EXPLOSIVE PACKED VEST AT A US BASE NEAR KHOST AIRPORT, KILLING 16 AMERICANS.

HIS MAJESTY ISSUES LAWS

MANAMA, NOV.22 (BNA) -- HIS MAJESTY KING HAMAD BIN ISA AL KHALIFA HAS ISSUED LAW NO.53 FOR THE YEAR 2009 ON AMENDING CLAUSE NO.
51 OF CIVIL SERVICE LAW DATED 2006 CONCERNING THE HOLIDAY OF AN EMPLOYEE WHO ACCOMPANIES SICK PERSON BEING TREATED ABROAD, IN WHICH THE MEDICAL SPECIALIZED COMMITTEES SET 60 DAYS AS MAXIMUM PERIOD FOR CLOSE RELATIVE AND IN CASE OF BEING TREATED INSIDE BAHRAIN THE HOLIDAY WOULD BE SEVEN DAYS.

THREE UN STAFF KILLED IN KABUL ATTACK

KABUL, OCT. 28 (BNA) THREE UN EMPLOYEES WERE KILLED TODAY WHEN MILITANTS ATTACKED A UN GUEST HOUSE IN CENTRAL KABUL, LOCAL POLICE SAID.

Alba's paper was deemed excellent and was awarded the 'Knowledge Management Category Winner'. There were 22 submissions from 9 countries in total. The submissions were broken down into three categories which were: knowledge management, performance management and people management.

Batelco Chief Executive Bahrain Gert Rieder officially opened the new Business Point with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Batelco Enterprise and Government Division General Manager Dr. Abdulla Khalifa Althawadi and members of Batelco's SLT (Senior Leadership Team).

Following the opening ceremony, Batelco SLT and Enterprise & Government Division staff toured the facility.

The new facility houses the offices of Batelco's Enterprise and Government division. It also features a full service business centre to accommodate customer visits and day to day business operations under one roof, in a unified well-structured business unit.

IIRA assigns Shari’a Quality Rating of AA to Dawood Islamic Bank Limited

Islamic International Rating Agency 'IIRA' is pleased to assign Shari'ah Quality Rating of AA 'SQR' to Dawood Islamic Bank Ltd 'DIBL'.

    

The rating reflects IIRA's opinion that the DIBL conforms to very high standards of Shari'ah compliance in all aspects of Shari'ah quality analysis.

DIBL commenced operations in April 2007 with the vision to provide Shari'ah compliant financial solutions to all segments of an increasing Shari'ah conscious business and consumer society.
