Bahrain on the alert for bird flu

Washington, Aug. 17 (BNA) The World Bank has agreed to provide a 900 million dollars loan to flood hit Pakistan, saying the economic impact of the disaster on the country's economy is expected to be "huge."

Manama, Aug. 12 (BNA) Member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (REEF) Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa declared that the Federation will continue to work hard to carry out the directives of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa at different domains to achieve the Economic vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain 2030.

Manama, Aug. 2 (BNA) His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has issued directives to the ministry of culture to keep the heritage sites through restoring the historical monuments and homes of great political,social, economical,historical and national roles in order to preserve Bahrain's rich history.

Manama, July 22 (BNA) King's Deputy His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa asked members of the Executive Committee of the Economic Development Board (EDB) at the meeting held under his chairmanship and in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa that laws must serve and facilitate the economic development in the Kingdom.

Manama, July 20 (BNA) Chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dr. Essam Fakhro annuonced that BCCI will enter the next election, either through Direct electing for a number of merchants, or through supporting a number of other candidates who boost the economic issues in the House of Representatives and defend the interests of the commercial sector, pointing out that this support would be logistically and morally.

Geneva, July 19 (BNA) Representatives Council Chairman Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani held talks with President of the Senate of Thailand Prasobsook Boondech concerning ways of joint cooperation and coordination, and to support the dual economic projects.
